Bachelor's degree is generally a four year degree.

If it helps in your decision, it would not make one bit of difference to me if a job candidate had a 2-year or 4-year degree. There are so many other things that are important for the job. Maybe others don't feel that way, but I do. As long as you are a well-rounded person who can hold a conversation and think your way out of a paper bag, the extra years in school do not really contribute anything to the skill set needed to do well in your job.
Reply:Um...didn't you answer your own question? A Bachelor's degree is 4 years, so that is how long it will take.
Reply:I think 6 years. But you need to call your local colleges to get the correct information that your looking into. Yes, you can do it.
Reply:I don't, but I heard 2 yrs for an assistant. Look it up on-line, or look up a # to a college and ask. Easy as that. Good Luck!
Reply:DR. SAM PROVIDED THE MOST SENSIBLE ANSWER. IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER IF IT'S A 2 OR 4 YEAR DEGREE, AS LONG AS YOU END UP BEING A COMPETENT AND CARING HYGIENIST.
