If I were to get only an Associates Degree, which one would be the best to get a decent job?

I know a 4 year degree or higher is the best thing to obtain, but suppose one just wants to obtain their associates degree and only this degree? Which field of study would be the best choice? I am thinking either office administration or dental hygiene. Would anyone agree? Also, do you have any other suggestions? Thank you.

p.s.- I can't do nursing because I faint in hospitals.

Given the 2 choices (dental hygiene or office administration) you mentioned regarding a 2 year Associates Degree, I believe DENTAL HYGIENE is a better choice as it offers more potential and better pay as well as advancement. Note that: (i) one does not necessarily have to go to college to be successful working as an Office Manager and (ii) it would be prudent to wisely select and take computer or office software courses as your electives to maximize your value to future Employer(s).

Required office skills most frequently used in an office deal with computer software starting with MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel) which one can self learn or they can be picked up on the job provided the employer agrees to train.

In general supply and demand driven meaning the more difficult jobs requiring higher education degrees etc are normally in short supply of experienced candidates so employers have to pay more $$$ salarywise to attract their talent and experience. Best insurance and investment any parent could give their child(ren) or you could yourself is to do well gradewise in good in school and earn your college degree(s).

At the same time money isn't everything and doesn't bring happiness to life if you happen to select or are forced into a career that doesn't have enough interest to keep you motivated and happy going to work. We all learn from our past mistakes and with God's wisdom, each one of us can pray and seek wisdom to overcome any hardship with determination and perservance. Keep your eyes open and God will give you a mentor who will show you the path along the way to the Light at the End of the Tunnel! Once you get there, you can return God's favor by helping others in need... Best of Luck and God Bless!
Reply:computer programming is the best choice for u.

whynot u visit computer and engineering department in any college near ur home.
Reply:There are many other paraprofessional careers in the medical field besides those that are around blood. (Besides, if you faint at the sight of blood, then dentists' offices see blood as well.) There are x-ray technicians, physical therapy assistants, pharmacy assistants, etc. The healthcare field is in desperate demand for workers.

Rather than office administration, I think you'd be better off with a computer-related field of study. The more special skills you can get, the higher your salary will be.
