I'm currently enrolled in community college seeking an associates degree in Science-General Proffesional studies. I want to switch my major to either Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Respiratory Therapy. So far I have about 21 credits toward my A.S in Proffesional Studies, but when I go into the Allied Health program I wont be able to complete the A.S degree. I was wondering if I could transfer those credits to earn a B.S in Health Services and than have an A.A.S in the allied health..but what can I do with a BS in Health Services. I just dont want those credits to go to waste..
What can I do with a degree in Health Services?
The college I'm currently attending has a link to a website that has all kinds of career info. Here are a couple for you:
The general website with different majors listed:
http://www.careercenter.sjsu.edu/careerp...
PDF File on careers in Health Services: http://www.careercenter.sjsu.edu/careerp...
As far as the credits transferring towards a B.S. in Health Services and then an A.S. in Allied Health, you'll probably need to talk to an advisor at your college about that. They'll be the best people to assist you with making sure that your hard work wasn't wasted. Also, he/she would be the person to ask about the B.S. in Health Services can lead to a career in Allied Health.
I hope this helped. %26amp; I hope everything works out for you. Good luck! :)
Reply:Get a entry job at a hospital. They will guide you into the fields they want to hire. They will pay for your education and train you as there is a shortage of nurses.
